yes, i’ve been planning to do that for a few days …  with all the obstacles.. i finally made it and today is the lucky day ! (what’s the obstacle? – my own laziness ^o^)

got things together into piles at the side of the room – waiting for dad to help me put everything into two suitcases (well, i can do it myself but dad is better). hopefully it’s not over 20 kilos (but i strongly believe that it’ll be over!). heard from mom that my auntie carried 20 kg to the cabin (and that’s when there’s no wheel-bag around) to london. amazing. so i think i’ll try that as well ^^. maybe just 10 kg for me.

on thurs – prepared everything and go early in the morning, 8:30 am, so there’ll be less people. it was fast, i was the first one. apparently, i was rejected right away since my residence is in bkk. meaning, i have to go to bkk to do it only. so mom decided to get the visa done in bkk like me. just along the way down the stairs back to the car, mom changed her mind. so we went back to the consulate and waited in line, again, for another one half hour to hand in the documents. as the result, instead of wasting half an hour at the consulate, we spent almost 3 hrs over there  ^^”

what can i do? only one thing can be done …. book a flight back to bkk! T_T so the same evening, i was on the plane back to bkk.

fri – the day to get visa done … and it’s done… yeh!!!

waste of money for the plane – but it’s very very necessary. but i would say it’s good in a way since i get to meet my friends again LOL …. (after all the goodbyes last week LOL)

it’s nice to see things falling into their place : visa, plane ticket and hotel.

JAYSES ended few days back …. i really miss it though. it’s sad that i didnt make it to any dinders (first dinner – dinner chula dudes, second dinner – dinner with dad, third dinner – dinner with grandma). i’ll definitly join again next year when i get back. this time, i’ll definitely speak japanese to them!!! no more punching dictionary, no more sign language, and no more broken english… hureyyy way to go!

first of all, the day start off with me going to nana (only one bts station away from my house) to join JAYSES activity. it’s just way too early for me since i have my holiday for more than 3 months now so i’m not used to waking up early. (even though if i got class, i dont wake up that early for it LOL.) we went to two places today, PTT – Wung Noi and NSTDA. it’s nothing more than walking around the area looking at some expensive machine in which we only get to see. there’s a presentation at each location but i dont really get anything from it. i was drawing and learning some kanji during the lecture! LOL.

we had lunch at some wat before we head off back to NSTDA after PTT tour. guess what, i actually had ข้าวขาหมู จุฬาสามย่าน all the way in AYUTHAYA. -_-”. it’s also a shame since we were there in ayuthaya but didnt get to buy โรตีสายไหม T_T.

afterall – it’s funt! really have a great time talking to japanese people. it was a chance to practice my english and japanese at the same time (more likely to be english though since my jap skill is to the mininum already). pretty fun to see how ppl can use broken languge to communicate with each other ‘effectively’! in conclusion, would say i’m a language idiot since what ever these japanese ppl taught me, i just forget them right away -_-” …hopefully, i’ll learn more words (other than harahetta >_< ) in the near future LOL.

later on thai students (CU and Chin from TU) took 10+ jap ppl to Siam for dinner as well as some to MBK for cheap mobile phone (i still dont get why japanese ppl will want to buy a phone here since their phone can be use abroad already… their model is too old? no idea). it’s pretty fun having them changing coins and push the button for their destination. really.

but i was late for my appointment with my CU friends at momo-paradise. i ran when i got off at chidlom station. by the time i ran to the intersection at centralworld, i realize that i’m too old for this already. walking was the best solution. loads of ppl were waiting for me at momo-paradise : pear, teuy, fai, ink, ken, pong, turbo, por, mink, nong nut, pomme, peng, and pang = 14 ppl! we had fun taking pictures and disturbing the tables nearby with our noise (LOL). it was a great time, and we had gifts. really appreaciate it everyone! then we had dessert at the icecream shop infront of momo. icecream+alcohol = not bad! LOL.

at the end of the day, pang drop mink and i at siam and samyan, respectively. by the time i got home, it’s already 10:20ish. kinda got scolded by mom a bit LOL. anyway, it’s a really tiring day >o<

another problem solved again today. i came down from chiangmai to do “leave of absence” (ลาพักการเรียน). at first, ise lady told me i only need one signature from the advisor before i hand the document to the engineer registra. yesterday i got a call from ise office saying that i need “one more” signature from the head of department. i thought “dude, last time i asked you said only one signature and now u just tell me i have to go back to the faculty and get another prof to sign it?”. can’t help but to go to the faculty today.

yet another problem arised, the ise laday said i might not be able to graduate with honor. this is SERIOUS problem!! when i asked the registra, they said i will be graduating in 5 years  -> doesnt meet the requirement of graduating within 4 years = no honor role for you! after i went back to the ise office, guess what, they showed me that there’s a PAGE saying in the rule booklet that students who go on exchange program of the university can still get honor role (exception to the 4 years rule). -_-” dont the registra ppl need to know these stuff? so when i went back with the proof (a copy of that rule with underlines emphasizing a few words for their clarity by me!), they finally said yes. phewwww … that was scary

now when i need to find the prof to get my document signed (as well as doam’s) … he seemed to be away… can’t help but to give it to doam to do it for me tmr.

went to pantip today as well – looking for my destined laptop. after walking around and around with a few experts, i decided to go for LENOVO Y410 T5850 + 1 GB ram. nice deal as well. i think of going back tomorrow to get it!!! finally ~ my own computer with my own money >_<

upcoming:
- need to contact the engineering office and work out the study leave (or sth of that sort). hopefully it wont take long.
- get a cheap plane ticket to kansai int. airport

so, all the three of us (minto + auu + doam) are going to JAPAN~ it’ll be great!

let’s see
- i sent in my application form for exchange program around aug 2007
- got called for interview late that year before winter break
- received the booklet for application to kyoto u. in feb 2008
- wait wait and wait …. just know the result on 2nd JULY 2008

in all, the process took 11 months! and this is not even done … i need to fill in more forms and send it back by july 18th and they will send the certificate for elligibility for my visa application early sep. so the WHOLE process from start to getting the visa should take around 1 year and 2 months ^^

so kyoto…. i’m expecting a lot from you since you just mess up my life for more than a year!
